Volume 3, Issue 12 – December 2015

“For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on His shoulders. And He will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!” Isa 9:6-7

As we approach the day set aside to remember the birth of our Savior … may we also reflect on 2015 and while our focus has been on the hearts of our children, we need to remember that we, too, are children of the Almighty God:

Words of life … may our speech produce life-giving words
Our example is to reflect the One Who has redeemed us
Number our days that we may walk in wisdom
Develop a heart of gratitude and contentment
Examine our heart making sure our motives are pure
Remember that parenting is a process
Fill your home with the love of Christ
Useless worry robs of us of precious time
Love builds relationshipsClear eyes provide a window into the heart of a child
Observe the learning styles for each of your children
Uplift virtue … pointing a child in the way he should go
Nurture the positive qualities you see in your children
Speak Life
Evaluate the Whole Child … Heart, Mind, Soul and Strength
Lead your children in the path of wisdom
Offer genuine words of praise and encouragement
Reflect on God’s goodness, love, and mercy each day

With love and gratitude,
Anne Marie
and the CFH Board
